Installation Instructions (General Guide)

1. Preparation

• Before installation, seize the wire rope approximately 0.9 - 1.2 meters from the end using wire or hose clamps, with a gap between them .

• The dead end of the rope should be fused to prevent core slippage .

2. Installation

• Insert the 16mm wire rope through the wedge socket.

• Place the wedge into the socket and push it firmly to lock the rope in place. The dead end of the rope must rest on the sloped portion of the socket .

• Use a hammer to initially seat the wedge. A first lift (of significant weight) will fully seat it .

3. Securing

• Secure the dead end of the rope by installing a wire rope clip or the designated retaining pin/bolt through the wedge .

• Tighten the clip nuts to the recommended torque specification for a 16mm rope .

4. Safety Checks

• Ensure the rope is in a straight line with the socket eye .

• Ensure the flat face of the socket is facing out when attaching to the boom head to avoid structural damage .
